The motto of the School is “illustrious virtue and erudition, benefiting people (明德博学、经世济民). “Illustrious virtue (明德)” comes from “The way of Great Learning lies in the enlightenment of brilliant virtues (大学之道，在明明德)” in Great Learning (礼记·大学); and “erudition (博学)” means to learn extensively and to be able to integrate the knowledge so as to achieve the abundance of knowledge. “Benefiting people (经世济民)” is the source of the word “economy (经济)” in Chinese, which means that the prosperity of society and the peaceful life of people are the loftiest responsibility and goal of economists. Behind these instructive words, it is of great necessity to have noble moral character, then to learn scientific and cultural knowledge to “help people, and govern the country and the world (安邦济人、治国平天下)”, which also demonstrate the goal of the talent training of our School.

The School logo takes the traditional Chinese character “Jing (经, the first character of economy in Chinese)” as the modeling element. The character is skillfully combined with the shape of shovel coin, highlighting the remarkable attribute of economics. Dragon represents the geographical attributes of Changzhou, reflecting the solemn sense of history and profound cultural heritage, which symbolizes the spirit of unity, progress and vigorous development. Simple and dynamic in overall, clean in shape, bright in image, strong in visual impact, with unique personality and rich sense of era, the logo is highly recognizable and expressive.
