On the morning of January 23, the School of Economics held a party for Chinese and foreign students who will stay in School during the 2021 winter holiday. Lin Shunhai, the teacher of the Concern for the Next Generation Committee, Jiang Hong, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Jiang Guogang, the Dean of School, Ren Baoquan, the Deputy Dean of the School, Wang Caifang, the Deputy Secretary of the School, Di Jing, the International Student’s Supervisor, and 19 Chinese and foreign students who will stay in the university participated in the activity.

Jiang Hong, on behalf of the School leaders, sent warm holiday greetings and New Year’s greetings to the students who stayed at school. He introduced the precautions for pandemic prevention during the winter holiday, and expressed the concern to the students. He hoped that the Chinese and foreign students who stayed at school would strengthen exchanges and help each other, abide by regulations on pandemic prevention and control , reduce unnecessary trips and do not participate in gathering activities, pay special attention to the safety of electricity, and actively participate in a series of special activities arranged by the School for students.

Subsequently, the leaders and teachers attending the event distributed food, milk and anti-pandemic supplies to the students. Students expressed their gratitude to the School. They will properly arrange their holiday life, make detailed learning plans, and spend a warm and meaningful Spring Festival.

After the party, Chinese and foreign students from the School of Economics and the School of Business, Liu Guojun School of Management jointly participated in the traditional cultural activity of “writing couplets and sending blessings”. Lin Shunhai demonstrated the writing of Spring Festival couplets and the word “Luck”() with splashed ink, and the students were amazed. Teacher Lin also tutored the students to try their skills. Chinese students also taught foreign students to write Chinese characters on the spot. Although the students in the English class didn’t know many Chinese characters, they still copied the teacher’s works with interest and shared their feelings with the students. At the same time, international students also wanted to convey the beautiful meaning of the word “Luck”() to their motherland and to their relatives thousands of miles away.

This activity not only reflected the care and love of the teachers of the School of Economics for students, but also let everyone feel that they’re in a warm home, which is also a true portrayal of the family of Chinese and foreigners. At the same time, it created opportunities for international students to experience traditional Chinese art, and enhance their understanding and love of China. Changzhou TV Station and Wujin Converged Media Center reported the whole event and interviewed the teachers and students. (Di Jing/editor Shi Xueqin/Translator  Wang Caifang/reviewer)
